Free Museum Admission for Military and Their Families

Free Museum Admission for US Military and Their Families at Museums Nationwide

From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend 2010, active duty U.S. military and their families receive free admission to more than 700 museums throughout the United States.

It is a new program called Blue Star Museums.  It is a joint effort of Blue Star Families, a national, non-profit network of military families from all ranks and services including guard and reserve, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

With more than 700 musuems participating in this program, there are too many to mention here.  But the list includes children’s museums, art museums and history museums.

Free admission for active duty US military personnel and their families at museums nationwide — thank you NEA and Blue Star Families for putting this together.
